6/16/04: Question Lists Live

A choice of question lists will now be presented after you set your game preferences. Take a peek and you'll get a feel for how this exciting new feature will work!

Question lists are only available to paid subscribers and include hand-picked questions and dares based on certain themes. They also will include some private questions or dares that are only available when the question list is used. This opens up the possibility of some really crazy, exciting stuff!

Not planning on subscribing? No problem! This feature provides more content to paid subscribers, but it does not penalize non-paying players or change the site for you folks in any way.

Since you can't subscribe to the site yet, only administrators and beta testers will currently be able to use question lists, although we hope to have the subscription system running within a week.

In the mean time, check out our subscription page to see what other neat features subscribers have access to.

6/16/04: Leader Board

The Tordol Leader Board is now available! This page keeps track of the most active content submitters and party groups. If also shows which content submitters have the highest overall popularity score, based on your votes.

When subscription services become active, we will start free monthly subscriptions or rewards to the top content submitter each month!

Thanks for all your great submissions. We're reviewing and approving them as fast as possible.

6/15/04: Server Load

Server load is continuing to increase at a surprising rate. As a result, we've had some more hiccups with uptime, mostly due to our underestimation of demand for the site.

To fix this, we've made some tweaks and allocated more resources for tordol on our shared servers.

If demand continues to increase, we'll move the system to a much higher performance hosting solution. Until then, please be patient as we continue to iron out the kinks and do our best to keep quality, content, and availability high.

6/14/04: Downtime Last Weekend - More New Features

Due to some network upgrades in our hosting facility, we had some unexpected downtime last weekend. Everything has been sorted out, and we don't anticipate any more interruptions.

Also, we plan to roll out two new features in the coming week. First, the lower level subscription plans will be available for purchase. These plans give you access to question lists, priority submission, and the ability to read responses to any question or dare that you submit- which can be pretty entertaining!

We are also going to launching our question list feature. Question lists are hand-picked groups of questions that revolve around a certain theme. For example, we might have a "Halloween List" that includes spooky questions and gross dares, a "Slumber Party List" for younger players, or a "Drinking Game List" that focuses on getting sloshed.

Question lists give us the ability to provide a better group of questions and dares based on your interests- whether they are intimate, painful, or something a bit more "exotic. "

If you have a group of questions and dares that you would like to submit under a special question list category, contact us for information on how your submission could earn you a free subscription to the site.

Thanks for all the wonderful feedback so far. We will be adding another big batch of content this week in all categories.

6/3/04: More Content Coming

From the comments we can see that many of the players in our community are getting tired of the same old questions and dares! Well, here's some good news: we are going to be adding a good bit of new content over the coming weekend.

Based on usage data, our Teen/College group in the G,PG-13,R ratings are by far the most active areas. As a result, we'll be concentrating our efforts here. Look for content that begins moving toward out upcoming question themes and branches out into less traditional questions and dares.

As a general rule of thumb, we will focus our content expansion into areas that continue to be the most popular first, then fill in the less popular categories later.

We have also been busy behind the scenes! The basic and platinum membership features are being beta tested, even as I type this. We hope to have them online and available this month.

Also, if you don't like a question or dare, use the voting system to let us know that it needs to be edited. Please don't use the comments section. We DO listen to your votes, and make every effort to update questions that you folks don't like. Although we appreciate the the feedback in the comments, we can't read all of them. If a question sucks, vote it down and it will either fall off the list or get improved.

Thanks!
